Work includes two videos about the Namibian Constitution. The supreme law starts with three cases taken from everyday life and asks how they are addressed by the Namibian Constitution. It then systematically explains the provision the Constitution makes for fundamental human rights, the shape of the Namibian government, how the government is elected, and how laws are made. Prelude to reconciliation deals with the drafting process of the Namibian Constitution from the first meeting of the Constituent Assembly on 20 November 1989 to the adoption ceremony on 9 February 1990. It provides historial developments which led to the establishment of the Constituent Assembly. The video documents, through lively interviews, the discussion process of the parties and people involved and highlights controversial issues and issues of common agreement. In this video the patriots very candidly reveal how they managed to marry opposing positions and reach consensus on the fundamental of Africa's youngest nation.
